Variable–capacity, inverter controlled operation works much like the cruise control system of high performance automobiles, automatically making adjustments as necessary. In the XP25, cooling capacity automatically adjusts up or down, based upon cooling demand, to use only the precise amount of energy needed to maintain temperature within 0.5 degrees of your thermostat setpoint.Environmental Responsibility

Extreme cold conditions: During extremely cold weather, you can continue to run your heat pump. They’re designed to work in our climate, however, as the outdoor temperature decreases, the heat output decreases. CENTRAL your thermostat will automatically control your auxiliary heat, no need to do anything.
DUCTLESS If you find that your heat pump isn’t warming your house as much as you’d like or If you find that your heat pump is going into defrost/preheat mode too often this is when you should turn on your primary heat source. You can turn your heat pump off via the power button on its remote control. We do not recommend turning the power off at the breaker; this can cause damage to the compressor during extreme cold.
